Main Info
The Vlachava Top – Varlaam Monastery Trail starts at the top of the mountain next to the road to the village of Vlachava and ends at the entrance of the monastery of Varlaam. It is a beautiful trail, going almost continuous downhill, with a few technical parts and a nice rock garden, if you start from the top. This trail is also part of the Meteora Trail Run race and you can find the red signs of the MTR throughout it.

The Monastery of Varlaam
The Monastery of Varlaam is the second biggest monastery at Meteora. It is located next to the Monastery of Great Meteoron the oldest and biggest of them all and was founded in the 14th century Hiossios Varlaam.
